Woodbridge Elementary School is an all-bus school. Students are expected to ride their assigned bus to and from school each day unless alternative transportation arrangements have been approved by the school. Students should not walk to or from school or attempt to walk home, as walking routes are not designated for student transportation. All students at Woodbridge Elementary School will be assigned a bus number and given a bus tag for their backpack.
To ensure bus transportation is in place for the first day of school, students must be entered into the transportation routing system by the school no later than August 7. Students requiring special education transportation services must be entered into the routing system by August 14.
If these deadlines are missed, transportation services may be delayed. Students enrolled after the deadlines will be routed within the first two weeks of school or as soon as possible based on transportation department processing timelines.
For the safety of our youngest learners, all Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students must be met at their assigned bus stop by a parent, guardian, or authorized adult. Kindergarten students may also be released to an older sibling who is listed on the student's emergency contact card.
Pre-Kindergarten students will not be released from the bus unless an authorized adult is present to receive them. Please remember to bring a valid photo ID, as the bus driver may request it for verification. Families are encouraged to ensure that all designated adults are aware of the student's bus arrival time and bus stop expectations to support a safe and smooth dismissal process.
All Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students are required to wear a school-issued identification lanyard. Lanyards will be provided by the school at the beginning of the school year. If a lanyard is lost, damaged, or needs to be replaced, please contact your child's teacher or the front office for assistance. Wearing identification lanyards helps support student safety and ensures staff can quickly identify students throughout the school day.
PWCS provides families with access to EZ Arrival, a mobile app that offers real-time bus tracking information. Through the app, families can view bus locations, receive estimated arrival times, and stay informed of transportation updates. We encourage all families to download the EZ Arrival app and enable notifications to help support timely student arrival and dismissal. For detailed setup instructions and additional transportation resources, please visit the PWCS Transportation Webpage.

Following the Woodbridge Elementary School Kiss & Ride procedures helps ensure a safe, smooth, and efficient arrival and dismissal experience for all students. If you plan to transport your child to and from school, please review the traffic flow guidelines and familiarize yourself with the designated route and procedures. Your patience and cooperation play an important role in keeping our students, families, and staff safe while helping traffic move efficiently each day.
Enter from Prince William Parkway and follow the curve to the right.

Enter the traffic loop and proceed to the designated Kiss & Ride lane. To ensure a safe, efficient, and orderly arrival process for all students, families are asked not to enter or line up in the Kiss & Ride lane before 9:00 a.m.

Continue past the school bus loop to enter the designated Kiss & Ride lane. Please do not enter the bus loop at any time. For the safety of all students, the bus loop is reserved exclusively for school buses loading and unloading students.
Follow the designated traffic pattern and continue through the Kiss & Ride circle. Once your vehicle reaches the unloading/loading area, school staff will assist students as they safely exit or enter vehicles. For student safety, all students must enter and exit vehicles from the passenger side only, where sidewalks are located.
